Malmö entertainer and musician östen Warnerbring had a keen interest in football. He even played at a decent level, for Sofielunds IF. Here s an excerpt from an article he wrote for the Kvällsposten newspaper: For a couple of years I lived in this community, and I remember the aromas. From the wonderfully sweaty changing rooms in Heleneholm and Sorgenfri, to the smell of empty beer bottles in the dark club rooms on Palmgatan, via that sulphur smell, when "Russin" missed a shot at the pool table. And then the finest scent of all when you came out of the clubhouse on a sunny early summer day and the whole of Sofielund smelled of lilacs and roast veal. Palmgatan 6 had Malmö's last remaining outdoor toilet, which remained in use until 2006.
