When RFSL (the Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex Rights) moved from Eden, they found a new location on Korsgatan in eastern Malmö.
When RFSL (the Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex Rights) moved from Eden, they found a new location on Korsgatan in eastern Malmö. The association's then treasurer Eva Törnegren remembers: One evening, the cabaret group Sinkadus played a show there. When it was over, a group were standing outside talking. There was absolutely no loud music, but the neighbours still complained about the noise. With that in mind, we didn t dare to renovate the place. We had the space for about a year and had meetings there, but we could never have parties. We had to break the contract, and that was followed by a very difficult period where we didn t have any premises. We had to rent space at different restaurants in the city for a while.
