Market trading began on Möllevångstorget pretty much as soon as it was built, in the early 20th century. This photograph is from 1915. It wasn t a popular shopping place for local working class women, because the market traders were reluctant to offer credit (peddlers and shops in the alleys nearby were more likely to do so). As a result, it tended to be maids for well-to-do households that shopped in the square. The large white house you can see was completed in 1907 and was designed by Harald Berglin.
