The section of Möllevångsgatan, west of Södra Förstadsgatan, was previously called Tallgatan. In these modest two-storey houses in 1878, Matilda Olsson and her husband Anders Påhlsson started their bakery Påhlsson's Bread . Today it s know as Pågen). Their sourdough bread, from Matild as own receipe, was a particular success, and the company soon grew. For a long time, the bread was sold straight from their oven, before they eventually moved into a factory in a new building at 12 Bergsgatan. The building on Möllevångsgatan was also the Gustav Möller s childhood home. He would go on to become Minister of Social Affairs in Per Albin Hansson's government. During his tenure, social reforms like child allowance, universal dental care and the national pension were introduced. Photographs: Jeanette Rosengren s collection, Pågen, Wikipedia
