Formed in 1908, this company specialised in machine tools and, a little later, industrial planers and saws. As they expanded, more room was needed, and in 1942 they built the large machine hall. Six years later, they built offices at the intersection of Lönngatan and Lantmannagatan. By the late 1950s, though, it was all over for Maskinfabriks AB Thule the business folded. Since then a steady flow of businesses have taken up the premises. åkermans used the space to build diggers and construction equipment. It was a vocational school for a while, then Malmö City Theatre moved in at the end of the 1970s and built props there.
