My mother grew up in Småland but moved to Lund as a 15 year old and worked as a housemaid for the family that owned TePe-huset. One evening, when she was 17, she went to a dance outside Lund. The bus left from Mårtenstorget and when she climbed on it was totally full. Then a handsome brown-eyed young man invited her to sit on his knee...and she said yes. That was my father! They got married in 1958. Sadly, my mother died two months before their 62-year anniversary. They had lived in Lund the entire time. /Monika Näslund
