Krognoshuset is one of the few medieval buildings in Lund still remaining.
Krognoshuset is one of the few medieval buildings in Lund still remaining. The oldest parts are thought to be from the 14th century. By the beginning of the 20th century a restaurant was operating on the first floor, while the cellar housed a cheaper cafeteria - the price of a large swig was 6 öre. In 1905 the building was bought by Lund city and in 1916 it underwent an extensive restoration by the cathedral architect Theodor Wåhlin. Among many alterations, a staircase was added to the western side.
