There was once a park here, next to the canal, in which stood one of the city's first four public toilets. They were built in 1912 on the initiative of Anna Stenberg, the first female member of the City Council. None of the villas , as they were know, remain. The toilets were intended for women, but they also became sexual meeting places for men. This particular toilet was very popular in the 1970s, and went by the name Trean (Number Three). The public toilet at Malmö Central and known as Ettan (Number One). Foto: Malmö museer Text: A Ride to Pride en kartguide till Malmös hbtqi-historia, Malmö Stadsarkiv
