From Arbetet newspaper, April 1944 The huge roller coaster in Malmö Folkets Park, whose silhouette provided a mountain landscape in Möllevången, no longer exists. On Saturday morning, it was completely destroyed by a fire that could have had catastrophic consequences under different conditions and without the fast, methodical response of the fire brigade. As it was, the fire was confined to the roller coaster itself. Somewhat surprisingly, the wooden frames of the carousels and miniature car track were saved, even though they sit close to where the fire broke out. There was also a sports hall underneath the roller coaster. After the fire, a bear cave, haunted house, and games arcade were built in their place.
