On 24 August 1952, the bust of the former minister of social affairs and trade was unveiled in the presence of the man himself. Gustav Möller (1884-1970) was born in Malmö, grew up on Tallgatan (now Möllevångsgatan's extension to the west) and worked at the Social Democrat newspaper Arbetet, before becoming head of the book publisher Tiden. As minister of social affairs for four decades, he was involved in several social reforms; public dental care, child allowance, general national pension, and two weeks' holiday all bear his signature. The bust was carved in granite by the Skåne sculptor Ivar Johnsson. Foto: Bilder i syd
