Don't be fooled that it says Trianglen in the picture: it describes the shape of the house and not the Malmö neighbourhood of the same name. This building was designed by Malmö architect Axel Stenberg, and was completed in 1909. At that stage, it stood in isolation in a completely rural setting. For that reason, the house was know as "The Loneliness" (Ensamheten). On the right, by what is now Lantmannagatan, you can see the entrance to Sofielundsgården. It s not only the farm and the neighbourhood that have inherited Sophia Charlotta af Trolle s name, but the street too: it s now called Sofiagatan. A church hall was later built here by the Church of Sweden, and St. Matthew s Church followed in 1983 (designed by Sten Samuelsson).
