You don t hear about shoelace makers so often these days. However, when this company started trading, back in 1932, shoelaces were their bread and butter (though they also made ribbons and lace). The shoelace business was booming apparently, because they built new premises on Norbergsgatan seven years later, incorporating both an office and a factory. The company was owned by the Ehnimb family, who were somewhat forward-thinking. The new home they built provided a decent environment for their workers modern, light, airy, with well-equipped lunch rooms and changing facilities. Their products developed over time, and they became well known for their lampshades (as well as their shoelaces). Photography: Malmö-boken, 1946
