Stortorget was Lund s first public square to have market trading stalls, and was at one time called Salutorget (roughly translated as selling square ).
Stortorget was Lund s first public square to have market trading stalls, and was at one time called Salutorget (roughly translated as selling square ). But it wasn t just a place for shopping, as it has also been an important place for the King and the church. In the photographs you can see the transformation of the cathedral s towers. In 1860 Helgo Zettervall became the cathedral architect and he rebuilt the towers in the romantic style.
