Vera och Sture
When my grandfather Sture was called up for military service in Lund at the end of 1920s, he served with the cavalry, among other things.
When my grandfather Sture was called up for military service in Lund at the end of 1920s, he served with the cavalry, among other things. That was when my grandmother Vera first caught sight of him an elegant young men, resplendent in his uniform and leather riding boots. Both Vera and Sture were engaged to other people then, so my grandmother tried for a long time to ignore my grandfather. But there was nothing she could do. Seeing him walk past so tall and handsome in his military outfit and polished boots she only had eyes for Sture. And so it came to pass. They married, had three daughters, nine grandchildren, and a huge number of great grandchildren. /Gunilla Tiliander
