It is a big and spacious church. Built in the 14th century and of course annexed and renovated many times for nearly 700 years. During the 16th and 17th century both the church and town were completely flooded. The church was excavated several times, while the town was moved a couple hundred meters in from the shore. The rest of medieval Falsterbo still lies underneath the dunes. The church still has a few wooden sculptures from the chatolic times. Most impressive is Kristofferskåpet with a sculpture of St Kristoffer and paintings on the doors of his martyrdom.
