At the turn of the year 2004/2005, a hetero-friendly gay club opened in this building, which had previously been home to the Bodoni cafe (which was operated by the Social Democrat newspaper Arbetet). It was an outward-looking, open club for a clientele that was generally unaccustomed to exposure. It was decided that admission would always be free, so that everyone who wanted to could afford to come. One of the founders, Marie Olsson, says: "We were doing something queer and everyone got to be part of our big queer family. A lot of local bands got a chance to play here, and the focus was punk, rock and electronic. It also became a bridge to the other clubs that were connected to Bodoni, and that created openness and incredible political explosiveness in the DIY spirit. It was a fantastic atmosphere and all kinds of people came there." Tomboy later moved to Moriskan, which brought them new and different visitors.
