Jesusparken
Falsterboplan is almost universally known as Jesusparken.
Falsterboplan is almost universally known as Jesusparken. The name comes from the fact that Malmö s church congregations owned this land and planned to build a church here. However, a change of plan in 1928 meant that Västra Skrävlinge church hall which is now known as St. Mary's Church was rebuilt instead. This patch of land became an allotment site as a result. The picture shows the small colony cottages in the 1930s. Just a few decades earlier, during and immediately after the First World War, these cottages (and hundreds of others in Möllevången and Sofielund) provided housing for Malmö residents in desperate times.
