You can recognise this view of course. The cathedral s towers on the right and the Svanen chemist is on the left. The cafeteria (matservering), seed shop (fröhandel) and draper s shop (manufakturaffär) are no longer here. On the site of the Arken bookshop the white house on the right a bank (Sydsvenska Kreditaktiebolaget) has stood since the beginning of the 20th century. In May 2019, it was announced that the Svanen chemist would close down. This led to protests and Lund city council got involved in the matter. On the day before the planned closure, the holding company (Apoteket AB) announced that the decision had been reversed.
