In the 1950s, there was a cafe called Terassen, a stone s throw from Spykenskolan.
In the 1950s, there was a cafe called Terassen, a stone s throw from Spykenskolan. People used to call it The Ruin ( Fördärvet ) because when you went there you would spend too much and ruin your budget. During the day, there were young people sneakily smoking and trying the exciting new drink, Coca-Cola. As it got towards evening, there would be youngsters of all ages hanging about outside. That s where you would have found me, 16 years old, and him, a 17-year old who would eventually become my husband. From then onwards we stuck together. We were married in Bosebo Church in Kulturan, where we d later baptise the first of our three children. /Ingrid Stockenberg
