Kungsbron is official/Royal entrance to Karlskrona - which is clearly noticeable in the stately environment.

Kungsbron is official/Royal entrance to Karlskrona - which is clearly noticeable in the stately environment. The picture was probably taken around 1905, and the biggest difference from today is the lack of buildings on the southern part of Stumholmen/ Kungshall. 2 armored ships and a beautiful sailing ship (possibly the Navy's school ship Gladan) are anchored on the ridge and forms a beautiful background. At the pier we see two passenger ships with by both sailing power and steam engine wich was common at this time. Not to forget, the sails of a typical Blekingeeka can also be seen - perhaps they are on their way into the city to sell herring.... Picture: Blekinge museum archives
